My name is August, the creator of KAMI BJJ (formerly BJJDesigns), home of the original ranked hair ties! I am currently a blue belt at Checkmat HQ in Long Beach, CA.

BJJDesigns started in 2020 when I made a couple of ranked hair ties to give to my friends, teammates, and coaches as gifts. Everyone loved them and thought it was such a cute idea. With their overwhelming positive reception, they encouraged me to start selling on Etsy and online.

These hair ties are personally tested, tried and true! I have been wearing my own ranked scrunchie to every training for the past 4 years, and washing them with my gear after. They have held up well through many rolls throughout the years.

Everything from the material to the cut has been carefully selected and designed to give you your next favorite scrunchie that is not only a cute hair accessory but also made for training. The material I use is a blend of nylon and spandex, the same material used in your rash guards! Made by grapplers, for grapplers!
